Self the electrical consciousness

If the Self is the electricity for the entire city, then the witness-consciousness is the electricity behind a particular bulb and the bulb is the ignorant human being with his limited visible light, not knowing his electrical nature. The bulb is his name and form or perhaps tube light, due to delayed understanding! 🙂 Though the bulb throws the visible light, electricity itself is not of the nature of visible light! Likewise the fan rotates with electricity, but the electricity itself does not rotate. This is again analogy. We can create many analogies from Truth but cannot guess Truth from analogy! Truth is that pure knowing, seeing or experiencing behind the sense and mind experience.

The light of the bulb knowing itself as the electricity behind it, is the first step of knowing oneself as the pure witnessing-consciousness (atman). For this, the bulb has to be completely free of the identification with all the objects it is lighting! Then only it can divert its attention towards itself and isolate its electrical nature and know itself as that.

This electricity behind the bulb, realizing that it is the electricity behind the whole city itself, is the witness-consciousness realizing, that it is itself the Brahman, the absolute Self.
